Yin Yoga & Sound Bath
Nourish your mind, body and soul with Jess this December as we honour the earth at rest in winter.
The heavy stillness of nature invites us to surrender and replenish. To retire into our depths, to reconnect to our inner being, to befriend the darkness within and around us. The season is ruled by the water element: the most nourishing and essential substance for life. This element stores our reserves of energy and therefore slowing down is crucial in these colder months to enable us to best prepare for the energy, vision and growth of spring.
Jess will guide you through an indulgent Yin practice to nurture your receptivity, intuition, and inner calm. The wisdom of water is to flow. Water moves effortlessly and takes the exact form of whatever contains it. A balanced water element is able to move smoothly through the season with both strength and serenity. An opportunity to self-reflect, let go and become aware of our true essence so that we are fully aligned with our own purpose. Expect to use props and feel safe and supported as you fall into the meditative powers of long-held poses, with a focus on the sacral chakra and traditional chinese medicine meridians.
We will then pause for mulled punch, warming treats and a moment of contemplation. Before allowing sound and reiki therapist, Paige, to take us on a deep transformative journey with the powerful healing frequencies of the crystalline bowls, chimes, shamanic drums and light language singing. A truly magical experience as melodic, carefully constructed, soothing vibrations wash the body, cultivating the deepest levels of relaxation and release in our cosy, candlelit studio.
In winter—like the seeds that are beginning their metamorphosis and starting to manifest their destiny in the sheltered recesses of the earth—all of our energies are being called to sink into the depths of our being and restore.
